Children grow up so fast, don’t they? The difference between the way you and I grew up compared to the way our kids are growing up today is huge. Whilst our generation were outside playing in the fresh air, the kids of today are hooked on technology, YouTube videos and social media. This technological revolution, however, isn’t giving our children the face-face social and physical interaction they so desperately need. This is where Leaps N Beats Dance comes into action! Leaps N Beats Dance is the perfect way for your child to take a proactive break from the school routine and classroom pressure! Any child from 18 months through to the end of primary school is welcome to join! And parents, rest assured that the term fees are the only fees you’ll be faced with- there are no hidden extra costs along the way! At Leaps N Beats Dance we love what we do, and we love being able to share our passion with each and every child that walks through our doors. We encourage our students to build independence, confidence and self-esteem.Our dance classes are designed to develop social awareness, intellectual stimulationand emotional maturity through a creative and fun approach! Our dance studio teaches children invaluable skills of classroom interaction, which is so important in preparing them for school!
Our Mumma and Bubba class (Daddies welcome too!) is for children as young as 18 months to 3 years. Ifyour child can walk, they are ready for the class. This is a truly unique and beautiful way to start your child’s dancing journeythrough life. Mumma and Bubba is a delicatelycrafted class that allows you as a parent to bond with your child during their first years of life and time to build more and more precious memories together. As a parent, you don’t need any prior dance experience- the class is inclusive to all parents of all dance abilities! The choreographed danceis repeated every week throughout the term, because we recognize that repetition and consistency are pivotal for children’s learning at this young stage. On the bright side, this means that as a parent you’ll get to learn the dance routine off by heart and become a pro!
Our Petit Leapers Ballet and Jazz class is designed for children who are confident enough to dance without a parent or guardian. This program is suitable for children aged 3 years to 5 yearswho are able to listen and follow instructions. This exciting ballet and jazzcombo classuses props that will help develop your child’s dancing skills, creativity and attention levels.
Each class is 45 minutes long, and children do not require any previous dance experience, which makes Petit Leapers the perfect place to begin. This class is also designed to naturally progress onwards from the Mumma and Bubba class.
This choregraphed dance is repeated every week throughout the term. This is because repetition and consistency are important forchildren to develop new skills. In addition to the Ballet and Jazz class,we also offer a 30 minute tap class!
Our daughter’s favourite time of the week is her Saturday morning dance lesson with Miss Paris. It is great fun and a very relaxed friendly environment.
Perfect for my dance-loving 5-year-old! Paris is an excellent teacher and the lessons are always a lot of fun, too. We love the laid back approach to uniform and opportunities for special dress-up days.
We have just finished our first term at Leaps and Beats and my daughter absolutely LOVES IT! The classes are perfect for the age groups and Miss Paris is so kind, warm and patient. We can’t wait for next term to start. If you’re looking for a dance class that lets little kids be little, this is the one for you.
We absolutely love Leaps N Beats Dance. Paris is a brilliant teacher and is great with the kids. It’s also refreshing to see at least 1/3 of the class are dads who bring their little girls. The kids have fun, they learn to listen, take instruction, as well develop skill appropriate for their age. We highly recommend Paris’ classes!
